Finals a step closer for hungry Ballan

BALLAN strung together its fourth win on end and moved closer to a long-awaited finals appearance with a 152-point victory over Carngham-Linton.

The home side wasled by Zac Peoples (six goals) and coach Mark Williams (five goals), while midfielder Shaun Campbell continued his great season by being named as the team’s best.

Daniel King also booted four majors on Saturday to take his season total to 33.

Ballan’s27.15(177) to3.7(25) drubbing followswins over Newlyn, Skipton and Waubra and helps maintain an eight-point gap on ninth-placed Creswick with six games in the home and away season to play.

Among the Saints’ best wereTodd Currie, Beau Ketchen andJoshua White in another tough day for coach Glenn Treacy and his charges.

Next weekend, Ballan isawayto Rokewood-Corindhap, while Carngham-Linton hosts Clunes.
