Market Watch: with Robert Goudie

THEAustralian share market finished the week at 5,538.30, down 2.17 points from the previous week’s close of 5,536.13.

On Friday’s trade the All Ordinaries finished down 61.50 points or 1.1per cent.

On Monday, the Australian market experienced a dismal day amid Greek default fears.

A steep decline in early morning trade brought the ASX 200 down more than twoper cent, with the big banks and miners weighing most heavily.

Every sector experienced negative results.

In the US on Friday night, the Dow Jones finished down 27.80 points to end the week at 17,730.11.

This result has caused the Share Price Index (SPI) to move down 7 points to 5,491 which should lead to a negative start to today’s trading.
